Transaction safety

Protect yourself before money or aircraft move

Aircraft transactions are high-value and technically complex. Treat every listing as a starting point for independent verification.

Draft for legal review. Grug Group LLC should have qualified counsel confirm governing law, dispute terms, privacy contacts, retention periods, and any paid-service provisions before public launch.

Fraud warning signs

  • Pressure to pay before inspection, identity checks, or a signed agreement.
  • A price far below the market, refusal to speak live, copied photos, or inconsistent aircraft details.
  • Last-minute wire changes, look-alike domains, cryptocurrency, gift cards, instant-transfer services, or an unknown “escrow” provider.
  • Overpayment followed by a request to refund the difference.
  • Requests for passwords, one-time codes, full banking credentials, or remote access to your device.

Before making an offer

  1. Verify the seller's legal identity, authority, company, and independent contact details.
  2. Confirm the aircraft identity, registration and serial number through appropriate registries and records.
  3. Use qualified aviation counsel and a written letter of intent or purchase agreement suited to the transaction.
  4. Arrange an independent records review and pre-purchase inspection with a facility you select.
  5. Check title, liens, ownership, International Registry interests where applicable, taxes, import/export requirements, sanctions, and delivery conditions.

Payments and escrow

Use an independently verified aviation escrow and title provider. Confirm instructions using a trusted phone number obtained separately—not solely from an email. Treat every change to payment instructions as suspicious until verified by multiple channels.

Pull-Up does not currently collect purchase funds, guarantee payments, provide buyer protection, or act as an escrow service.

Technical and regulatory verification

Confirm airworthiness, maintenance status, damage history, equipment, performance, certification basis, operating limitations, and mission suitability with qualified professionals. For UAV and autonomous systems, separately verify platform capability and the approvals required for the intended jurisdiction and operation.

Report a concern

Do not send money or sensitive documents if something appears suspicious. Preserve messages, payment instructions, listing URLs, and other evidence. Grug Group LLC must establish a monitored fraud-reporting address before public launch. Where appropriate, also contact your bank, escrow provider, local law enforcement, or the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center.
